With the increased uptake of pickups as everyday vehicles for many people and the success of previous Navarra models, Nissan is set to release the 2016 Nissan Navara models looking better and more powerful. The rugged and durable track which can handle more load and different types of weather will be bolder but with improved interior features.

The 2016 Nissan Navara comes with a host of exterior adjustments. First, the pick-up has a new redesigned U-shaped radiator grille and LED daytime working lights. The front bumper has also been redesigned with a more aerodynamic hood. As well, the manufacturer has added new chrome contours. The rear features redesigned tailgate and hind lights. The vehicle has been enlarged both in width and height which results in additional cargo space and seating space.

The interior of this 2016 model features a larger passenger compartment compared to the current model. Actually, Nissan has designed the interior to deliver the same feel as that of an SUV. The dashboard board has been hooked up with added details, there are additional steering wheel controls with an information screen fixed at the center of the dashboard. The information screen places all relevant and important information strategically to the driver. The infotainment system has also been redesigned to reflect the current tastes in the market.

Compared to the previous models, the new 2016 Nissan Navara has a more powerful engine. There will be a diesel and gas engine variation. The diesel variation will feature a 2.5 liter turbo-diesel engine that delivers 188 horsepower with 450 Nm and 160 horsepower with 403 Nm for the high end and low end trim levels respectively. Both are offered in either 7- speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission. The vehicle also features a rear-wheel drive but with an option for 4-wheel drive. The new electric 4-wheel drive design means you can shift on the fly 4×4 driving in any type of weather. The manufacturer is expected to improve the vehicle’s fuel economy by a whopping 11% compared to predecessor models.

The new Nissan pickup is expected to hit showrooms either in the last quarter of 2015 or early 2016. The vehicle which will be offered in two models, i.e. the double cab model and the king cab model will cost around $23,500 for the former and $17,500 for the latter.

The new features, particularly the new interior additions which add to its comfort and luxurious feel will surely be a hit to many. With these features, the 2016 Nissan Navara is set to replace the family car as it can handle more payload as well as provide the comfort of an SUV.
