2014 Chevy Reaper Specs, Review

If you are like most Americans, you love the idea of a heavy duty truck that can do “the impossible”, the Chevy Silverado has for decades been the go to truck for most Americans who know a thing or two about what it means to have a well built all round truck. In their search for a truck that doesn’t sacrifice utility for looks and is definitely not short on power, Chevy hasn’t necessarily reigned as king. However, our minds were blown with the 2014 Chevy Reaper, with its 550 horse power V8 engine generating a whopping 575 pound feet of torque, this truck is truly a force to be reckoned with. The folks at General Motors have truly out done themselves with this one.

The bulky frame, high and wide stance is both imposing and intimidating. The truck resembles a body builder on steroids, for this it will be loved. This design was an excellent input by the team at Chevy. The truck looks muscular and masculine, there is no question as to whether the 2014 Chevy Reaper will be lauded by fans of the off-road truck segment.

The 2014 Chevy Reaper comes with a multiplicity standard features which includes: Daytime LED Running Lights, High Clearance Bumper with Re-enforced Skid Plate, Integrated Rigid Flood Light System, Fox Racing Suspension, Corsa Performance Exhaust Package, Reaper 20 inch Wheels, 33 inch off-road tires, Side Steps/ Rock Guard, Serialized Reaper Badging, Reaper Gauge Package and Auxiliary Switch Panel. The 2014 Chevy Reaper is obviously packed with standard features that rival or most cases surpass the competition in more ways than one.

The 2014 Chevrolet Reaper comes power packed with a monstrous 550 Horse Power, 6.2 Litre supercharged V-8 All Wheel Drive Front Engine, generating 575 lb ft of torque. The Reaper also comes with a 6 speed automatic transmission, adequate enough to handle the power of the this monster of an engine. The Truck has a estimated 0-60 miles per hour speed of 5.3 seconds, and a quarter mile speed of 13.9 seconds. The Reaper has an EPA estimated 17 miles per gallon highway. The Reaper is also reasonably priced at 50,000 – 55,000 for the base model with the 5.3 Litre Engine and 65,000 to 72,000 for the top of the like 6.2 Litre super charged V-8.

The Chevy Reaper will prove itself to be more than just a tuning package, and more of a forced to reckon with in the off-road segment. As the Truck’s name connotes, this new model will slay the competition. All in all, this truck will as a beast in the off road segment as it offers what we all crave and that’s – POWER! The price will go in range from $50,000 up to $60,000.
